Carbamide Peroxide 35% or 44%
 Carbamide peroxide is an excellent tooth whitening product for shelf life items where refrigeration is not possible. For example on a drugstore shelf in a teeth whitening kit. Carbamide peroxide has approximately 1/3 the strength of hydrogen peroxide and is not recommended for chairside application. Carbamide peroxide has a long chemical bond similar to a shell covering a nut. The shell must decompose to release the hydrogen peroxide, which takes time for the chair side treatment. Since it must break down into hydrogen peroxide to oxidize the stain in the teeth, it is best to start with hydrogen peroxide for chair side application from the start.
